Masterpieces of Leonid Yacobson
To commemorate the 115th birth anniversary of Leonid Yacobson, we are proud to unveil a new show, titled One-Act Ballet Recital. It will feature the restored versions of Leonid Yacobson's best creations from his Choreographic Miniatures cycle, long since recognised as some of the most illustrious creations in the history of Russian choreography. These will include: Pas de Quatre (Music by V. Bellini), The Lovers (Music by S. Kagan), Sextet (Music by W. Mozart), Viennese Waltz (Music by R. Strauss), The Gossips (Music by Ș. Aranov), Pas de Deux (Music by G. Rossini); as well as The Wedding Cortège one-act ballet (music by D. Shostakovich), Baba Yaga (music by M. Mussorgsky), The Boot-Licker (Music by V. Tsytovich), The Village Don Juan (Music by Yu. Zaristky), Pulcinella (Music by S. Rachmaninoff), and Snegurochka (Music by S. Prokofiev). The restoration efforts saw invaluable contributions from our tutors, many of whom had personally collaborated with Maestro Yacobson, as well as from the renowned set designers Tatiana Noginova, Alyona Pikalova, and Tatiana Vyushinskaya, and the lighting designer Kamil Kutyev.
