What's On

What is the secret behind the public's undying interest towards Giselle? This beautiful creation from the age of Romanticism still remains a prominent part of today's global repertoire, as beloved as ever. Saint Petersburg's theatres traditionally retain Marius Petipa's version of the ballet. Come join us on this fantastical adventure at the Mariinsky Theatre on 25 September!

On 27 September, the Mariinsky Theatre audience will get to see Don Quixote, a vibrant, one-of-a-kind performance. A roller-coaster of a plot and a cast of spitfire characters are brought to life by expressive choreography and a gorgeous set design.

During the popular Golden Mask Festival, the Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre will travel to Latvia, where our troupe will play Don Quixote (a unique rendition of the ballet courtesy of Johan Kobborg, with 7 Golden Mask Expert Panel nominations) in Riga on 16 October; and put on a grand Gala Concert, showcasing the most memorable scenes from our best ballets, in Ventspils on 18 October.

On 7 October, the Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre will put on Leonid Yacobson's Choreographic Masterpieces in the city of Petrozavodsk, as part of the Golden Mask, Russia's main theatre festival. And on 9 October, this ballet recital, which is highly symbolic to our troupe, will delight the public in Kostomuksha.
