Classics in June

The Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre welcomes the summer of 2021 with a series of its best classical shows at Saint Petersburg's most symbolic venues. One of such venues is the main stage of the Alexandrinsky Theatre, a long-running partner of the celebrated ballet troupe. On 12 June, we will be putting on Don Quixote — an original production by Danish choreographer Johan Kobborg — twice; on 13 June, the public will see two performances of The Swan Lake; and on 14 June, we will be presenting The Sleeping Beauty, staged by the renowned French ballet master Jean-Guillaume Bart.

These world-class ballet masterpieces will star our troupe's best soloists: Alla Bocharova, holder of the Saint-Petersburg City Council Youth Award and Honoured Artist of Russia, as Odette; Andrey Sorokin, holder of the Saint Petersburg City Council Youth Award and winner of the Golden Soffit Saint Petersburg Theatre Award, as Basilio; and Andrey Gudyma,  winner of the Golden Soffit Saint Petersburg Theatre Award, as Gamache.
