The Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre continues its new season on the renowned Alexandrinsky stage.
Our dancers are continuing to hone their craft in our rehearsal hall, eager to let their talent shine in the shows from our new season. To celebrate our return to the public after an emergency hiatus, we decided to bring back the universally lauded masterpieces of classic Russian ballet. On October 3, we will welcome the public to the main venue of the Alexandrinsky Theatre, to see the Ballet Supreme of the global stage: The Swan Lake, with music by P. I. Tchaikovsky and choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. As we all know, this production is rightfully considered a symbol of the Russian ballet school and celebrated as one of our culture’s crowning achievements.
The ballet will be presented in a new 2015 rendition, with colourful and exquisite scenery, created especially for the Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre by the distinguished set designer Vyacheslav Okunev.
