The Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre will represent the world of Russian art in the largest Flemish city.
As part of Russia's business and cultural mission to Antwerp, Belgium's second-largest city, celebrating its 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations with St. Petersburg, St. Petersburg's vice governor Aleksandr Govorunov and Bart De Wever, mayor of Antwerp, officiated the signing of a protocol on a bilateral cultural project. It will include a tour by the St. Petersburg Leonid Yacobson Academic Ballet Theatre, scheduled for May 2019. The protocol was co-signed by Geert Allaert, director of the Antwerp Music Hall, and Lidiya Zernova, Deputy Art Director and Manager of the Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre. Following an established tradition, our theatre is enjoying the great honour of representing Russia's key cultural hub in a major international project.
