Dmitry Sobolev Wins a Prize at Prestigious Competition in Moscow

The 15th International Ballet Artists Competition has just come to an end in Moscow. One of the most prestigious and significant events in the world of choreography, it draws on a distinguished six-decade-long history and enjoys an outstanding reputation among professionals. Many internationally renowned dancers first made their names through their performances at this event in Moscow.

 

All the participants representing the Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre reached the third round, demonstrating their talent and potential to the highest standard. We are delighted to congratulate our dancers on their success! At this point, the competition has drawn to a close and the judging panel has announced the final results. Dmitry Sobolev has earned Third Prize and a bronze medal. He has also been given a special honour: on the evening of 5 July, he will perform at the gala concert on the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre. Arseniy Sheynin has also received a diploma, while Gennady Oorzhak was awarded a certificate of participation in the third round. All three of our dancers made a strong impression and set themselves apart from the other contestants. Our warmest congratulations!
