Getting a ballet off the ground takes far more than the vision and dedication of the choreographer and his co-creators. Each production is the result of the entire company’s tight-knit teamwork, and it wouldn’t happen without the skill, professionalism, and craftsmanship of every theatre department involved. With just one week to go before Curtain Call premières, rehearsals continue under the direction of choreographer Vyacheslav Samodurov. Meanwhile, the wardrobe is nearly complete. Costume designer Maria Tregubova has prepared several dozen outfits, creating an eclectic visual ensemble that blends a variety of styles: from traditional ballet tutus to high-fashion silhouettes, unexpected looks featuring wide-brimmed hats, elegant capes and lace jabots, and vibrant sport chic gym suits.
