Our summer playbill is guaranteed to delight anyone who enjoys classical ballet and modern dance alike. During this season, we will be enjoying the hospitality of the Alexandrinsky Theatre, where the Yacobson Ballet troupe will present the Classical Ballet Masterpieces programme amid the Imperial splendour of the authentic and impeccably tasteful historical interiors. Overall, we have over 40 shows planned for the summer season — our highest number yet. Performances will begin on 23 June and end on 5 August. The public will marvel at the most radiant gems of classical ballet: Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, and Don Quixote, beautifully complemented by a cult work of Leonid Yacobson, Brilliant Divertissement.
The evening of 15 July promises to be like no other, with a special medley of three ballets by Vyacheslav Samodurov, which he staged specially for the Yacobson Theatre: the award-winning Cheeky Chastushki and 598 Beats, along with the vibrant, witty, and energising Curtain Call, which is premièring this season.
