Onegin

Onegin is a unique international ballet project that has brought together modern ideas and an all-star team with perfect timing. The name of the original poem’s author, Alexander Pushkin, is woven into the very essence of Saint Petersburg, one of the world’s most beautiful and artistic cities, which has been a muse for genius writers, musicians, and theatre directors across different historical eras. And many of these brilliant creators have reinterpreted Eugene Onegin through the lens of their own respective genres. Among them, was British choreographer John Cranko, who produced a brilliant ballet masterpiece, a true gem, where dance is used to convey the values integral to the Russian literature staple.
