The 32nd Soul of Dance Award Ceremony and winners’ gala concert took place at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre on 30 April. Established by Ballet Magazine in 1994, the Soul of Dance is one of the profession’s most distinguished honours. Over the years, recipients have included such eminent figures as Olga Lepeshinskaya, Marina Semyonova, Yuri Grigorovich, Maya Plisetskaya, Rodion Shchedrin, Vladimir Vasiliev, Ekaterina Maximova, and many other outstanding artists that are a credit to Russian choreography. Our soloist Dmitry Sobolev won the Award in the Rising Star nomination. During the winners’ gala concert in Moscow, he performed Leonid Yacobson’s miniature Vestris, demonstrating exceptional classical technique and remarkable dramatic artistry.

We are incredibly proud of Dmitry for this remarkable achievement, and warmly wish him continued success and many new creative milestones.
