Tour to Yekaterinburg
From 20 to 23 June, Leonid Yacobson Ballet Theatre will be touring in Yekaterinburg.
On 20 June, the dancers will perform two of this season’s premières, Brilliant Divertissement and Cheeky Chastushki, at the Ural Opera Ballet. Along with Leonid Yacobson’s Brilliant Divertissement one-act ballet, the show’s first act will also include miniatures from the Classicism-Romanticism cycle: Pas de Quatre and Pas de Deux to Mozart’s music, Taglioni’s Flight, Cachucha, The Swan, and Vestris. In the second act, the theatre-goers of Yekarinburg will see Cheeky Chastushki, with a score by Rodion Shchedrin. Vyacheslav Samodurov and the Leonid Yacobson troupe staged this one-act production in December 2022, to celebrate the composer’s 90th birthday.
On 22 and 23 June, Yekaterinburg will welcome two showings of Tchaikovsky’s classic: The Sleeping Beauty, produced by the famous French choreographer and erstwhile Danseur Etoile at the Opéra National de Paris, Jean-Guillaume Bart.
